Aquila Theatre will journey out onto the fog-shrouded moors of England with this spine-tingling tale The Hound of the Baskervilles. This brand-new take on the legendary Sherlock Holmes mystery is a comedy driven and utterly suspenseful theatrical adaptation.
Sherlock Holmes, London’s most eminent private detective, has been invited by a donor to perform a re-creation of one of his most famous cases, the Hound of the Baskervilles. The location of this play is performed at the Dartmoor Village Theatre and Tea Rooms, a local community theatre house in the very area in which the happenings of this most mysterious case took place. Watson and Sherlock star in their own theatrical adaptation and are joined in this endeavor by the beloved Mrs. Hudson, Sherlock’s landlady, and the self-acclaimed actor, Sir Grover Drakes-Billets. The audience may need to get in on the act in this participatory night to help Holmes and his makeshift theatre troupe replay and resolve the loose ends of the mysterious death of Sir Charles Baskerville, still rumored to be the victim of a supernatural and savage hound.
