Executive Director Charles Centilli has 41 years of experience in performing arts management. He graduated from the University of Texas with a business degree majoring in finance. Centilli was the Business Manager of the University of Texas Performing Arts Center in Austin and resided there for sixteen years. He oversaw the finances and accounting systems of five performance venues ranging from 500 to 3,000 seats. Centilli joined the Spencer Theater in December 1996 as the Director of Business Affairs. He was appointed as the Executive Director in January 2000. Centilli is responsible for the budget, the accounting/finance systems, the automation of financial reports, the payroll and he oversees development and outreach efforts, as well as all personnel. Box Office Manager Donna Clarke oversees all box office accounts, ticket sales and Founders Room dinner ticket sales. She oversees the printing and mailing of tickets to patrons, as well as ticket arrangements for large groups. On performance nights Donna manages the sales of artist materials (CD’s, posters, etc.). Together with her staff, Donna maintains theater mailing lists and processes many of the major mailings of theater literature to patrons and schools (season brochures, contributor information and Class Acts brochures). Technical Director and OSHA Certified Safety Coordinator Jason Kennedy oversees all the backstage coordinating for any show or event at The Spencer Theater and is also the OSHA safety liaison for the building. Jason has 15 years of technical experience in every department and came to The Spencer in 2008. He has branched out and run shows for arenas of 10,000+ but has always been close with The Spencer Theater and took over as TD in 2018. Publicist Kathleen McDonald fields all media requests for information about the theater, and the shows that are performed at the theater. A former news reporter and free-lance writer, McDonald handles all publicity matters, brochure and program copy, radio and press interviews, related marketing materials, event photography, and the theater’s monthly e-letter. Marketing Coordinator Lauren Bergeron handles all graphic design for the theater, including all print advertisements, image design and layout for the season performance brochures, and cover images for playbills. She also oversees distribution of the brochures to lodges, hotels, chambers of commerce, etc. Lauren creates the event posters, banners, light boards, table tents, visual submissions for grants and is the in-house computer technician, helping staff with incidental computer snafus. Previously working for a private printing operation in Ruidoso, Lauren rose to the level of Large Format Printing & Graphic Designer before joining the staff at the Spencer Theater in 2011. House Manager Sharon Davis is the point person at all Spencer Theater performances for patron concerns. She is the public’s liaison to the Spencer Theater executive director, technical director, patron service manager, box office and marketing personnel; she coordinates valet and usher services, and assists both patrons and artists with transportation food and first aid services. Hospitality Manager William Wilson grew up here in Ruidoso, NM and a graduate of Capitan High School class of 06’. Started cooking at his family’s restaurant at a young age, Bradley D’s in Ruidoso Downs. In 2008 he attended El Centro Culinary School in Dallas, TX. Graduated with an Associates of Applied Science in Culinary Arts as well as their certificates in Baking and Hospitality Management. William started his culinary career at the Dallas Country Club and then ventured to 560 by Wolfgang Puck - Reunion Tower in downtown Dallas for 5 years. He also owned and operated his own restaurant in Las Cruces, NM for 2 years, Bradley D’s and William B’s Restaurant. William later decided to move back to Ruidoso and was the head chef at Rainmakers Country Club and Resort, working there for 4 years. William briefly moved to Maui, HI and worked at Spago Maui, a Wolfgang Puck Restaurant in the Four Seasons Resort. Before coming here to the Spencer Theater in 2021.
