In The Mood
A 1940's Musical Review
Sponsored in part by Ron and Sandra Carroll
Friday March 10 at 7pm, $39 - $79

IN THE MOOD is a celebration of the 1930s & 40s Big Band era. The great melodies, lyrics and orchestrations of this era virtually moved the national spirit and became the soundtrack of the world. Such a substantial, wonderfully layered music, it dominated the airwaves and dance halls across the land for decades. The era became the last time that all Americans were listening and dancing to the same kind of music.

With the sensational 13-piece String of Pearls Big Band Orchestra and the fabulous IN THE MOOD Singers and Dancers, the era’s great melodies and lyrics are presented in this jazzy, sentimental, rhythmic, nostalgic and patriotic musical revue – the very best on tour today. Adorned with lush arrangements, epoch-perfect costumes and choreography, IN THE MOOD is as authentic as it gets.

The night’s two-act program includes such classics as “Well All Right,” “Stardust,” “Moonlight Serenade,” “It’s Only A Paper Moon,” “Tuxedo Junction,” “Dream,” “Sing, Sing, Sing,” “Over There,” “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” “Sentimental Journey,” “Lili Marlene,” and so much more. Hear the trumpets call: be there!
