winner Lee Rocker and the Stray Cats put Rockabilly
music back on the record charts in the early ’80s,
scoring several mega hits – Stray Cat Strut, Sexy &
Seventeen and Rock this Town.
Rocker comes to
the Spencer stage with his own touring band keeping
that striking 1950’s style. His distinctive
performance style includes a hefty upright double
bass, which appears weightless as Rocker spins,
throws it in the air, catches and slaps it keeping
featured on the cover of the Rolling Stone, appeared
on Saturday Night Live, and was inducted into the
Bass Player Hall of Fame and the Rockabilly Hall of
Fame. This is a night of pure energy, as this stray
cat prowls the Spencer stage.
